I became best friends with a black dude that was acting really annoying on my holiday.
Everybody hated him, and I had a bad impression from him but he was really nice when I got to know him.

I've been friends with 2 or 3 people that I disliked, but mainly it was because I was friends with someone who was their friend, so I ended up becoming their friend too. (Did that make any sense?)
